Welcome Families!
Little Chick's is a new licensed home daycare (license #255563) and will be opening July 8, 2019!
Our family home consists of myself, Kristin, my husband Michael, and our two children Evelynn and Cody. Our teenage step-son, Logan, comes to visit from California for the summer time and is a bright young man! My step-daughter Katelynn lives in California and works as a vet tech (her passion).
I have been married to my husband, who is a Retired Navy veteran, for over 8 years and he is my best friend of nearly 15 years. We came to Maryland from Lemoore, CA when Michael received orders to Pax River. We bought our home in 2017 in Mechanicsville and love the rural community, our nine chickens and spacious yard for the kids to play!
I am a certified EMT and have a degree in Science and medical assisting. I was pursuing a career in the government contracting world when I found my love of teaching children. I had the opportunity to open a home daycare and I took it! I have received training in several areas of childcare, am CPR/first aid qualified, and am trained in developmental screenings. I absolutely love teaching my own children and am so excited to welcome other's into our home! The licensing process is long and daunting, but I could not be more happy to take the time, money, and energy to make sure we have a safe, caring and educational environment for your children! I am happy to say that we are now open and enrolling children. Interviews are being conducted now!
